The SCINEi Hall of Inspiration is an initiative that honours individuals whose guidance, encouragement, service, and positive influence have made a lasting impact on the lives of others. While the inaugural recognition focuses on teachers nominated through the SCINEi Future Leaders Essay Competition, the Hall of Inspiration is intended to grow beyond education to celebrate mentors, community leaders, professionals, volunteers, and everyday individuals whose character and commitment continue to inspire future generations and strengthen their communities. Illustrative examples of the type of individuals who may one day be recognised in the SCINEi Hall of Inspiration.

• Nomsa Mokoena – Community Mentor

  Recognised for dedicating over 15 years to mentoring young people, helping them discover their potential, pursue higher education, and become leaders within their communities.

• David van der Merwe – Science Educator

  Honoured for inspiring generations of learners to embrace science, innovation, and critical thinking through his passion for teaching and unwavering belief in every student's ability to succeed.

• Amina Hassan – Community Volunteer

  Celebrated for her selfless commitment to organising literacy programmes, youth development initiatives, and community outreach projects that have empowered countless families and young people.
